Willie grew up playing at Newton South where he was a three sport athlete in football, basketball and baseball. He earned all scholastics in football and baseball while also being the recipient of the Bill Hamill award award twice. Willie then went onto play his college ball at Western Oklahoma State College. After his first season as a redshirt in 2011 he posted an impressive batting average of .400 and in his next season hit .364 with 13 home runs and 28 stolen bases. Willie was honored as a NJCAA All-American and then was drafted in 2013 by the Washington Nationals in the 16th round. He was also Part of the 2015 Lewis & Clark NAIA national championship club and the 2015 FCBL Bravehearts championship club!
Willy comes to 5 Tool with multiple years of coaching and instructing player development. In 2018 Willie began his coaching career as the head coach at City on the Hill Charter School, in Boston. He also worked at the DC Baseball Academy (Framingham, MA) where he coached the 11U team and the 13U team while also working as a private instructor.
