Jon is a certified strength and conditioning coach and a former professional minor league baseball player. As a former elite-level athlete who also overcame a severe head injury, Jon understands the perseverance, hard work, and commitment needed to achieve health, fitness, and performance goals.
During his senior year at Triton Regional High School, he was a two sport All-State athlete. He then went on to complete his Bachelors of Arts degree in Sociology with a minor in Psychology and Economics through Wheaton College (Norton, MA), while also spending time working with athletes in the Special Olympics. Jon then went on to become an All-American baseball pitcher in 2010. He had professional baseball invites to try out for the Tampa Bay Rays, Baltimore Orioles, and New York Yankees. Through 5 years of professional baseball, Jon played in the Can-Am League, the Frontier League, and the Atlantic League.
Jon is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA), a Certified Functional Strength Coach (CFSC), and certified in Speed, Agility & Quickness through NASM(National Academy of Sports Medicine) Being a former athlete, Jon had always been interested in pursuing a career in the Strength & Conditioning field and learning more about human performance. He began this path working simultaneously as a Personal Trainer at a Sports Performance Training Facility and a Physical Therapy Rehabilitation Aide at McGovern Physical Therapy. During this time, he worked with athletes in the youth, high school, collegiate, professional, and Olympic ranks. Most recently, Jon was a head S&C coach for the past 5 years at a Strength gym while being the strength coach for a college baseball team.
